What type of fan do you wish to fit....

Timed
Humidistat
or to come on & off with your light......

either way it should be fed from the lighting circuit via a 3 pole isolation switch such as this

other suppliers are available

the annoying type that come on when you turn the light on and stay on for a while when you turn it off....

Breezer mine is connected to a 3amp fused FCU which is fed from the rose. It is a pull cord type with no switched live or timer. I didn't think I needed a seperate isolation switch?

p.s. sorry to steal post.

you should have an isolation switch, but we will not send the "spur police" to get you
