F&E line-up

Is this okay?

I've also noticed while I was putting on the pipe insulation that the F&E vent pipe join to the T-piece of the feed pipe just under the tank leaving 1 pipe to the circulation system, is this okay? I thought they both have to join the circulation system apart close together(?)

Also any comments on the type of boiler and price below?

A combined feed (F&E) and vent pipe is quite common and has the obvious advantage of eliminating the potential for different pressures to occur in vent and F&E pipes and the consequent pumping over/sucking problems.

However it may not perform so well when filling the system since air venting and water filling are occurring in opposite directions in the same pipe. In practice I've not found this a significant problem if the combined pipe is 22mm. Also in fault conditions steam escaping from the vent pipe would be in conflict with feed water reaching the boiler. For this reason it may not be considered an acceptable arrangement unless the boiler manufacturer sanctions it.

iirc the BS says 22mm but I notice Keston say it should be 28mm. Probably good to accommodate more system expansion within the pipe...
