F1 fernox filter

Sorted it out today.

I think the silicone really helped the plastic to screw more freely. I also added a bit of ptfe tape. All sealed and no leaks with the heating on. Not had a call in the day, so assume it is all ok.
Never had a problem sealing one of these filters but I’ll remember this little trick if I do.
 
CWHEATING is right. You have to more than hand tighten.

Says so on the instructions. Infact the lid has a mark to tell you which point to tighten to. Read the instructions.

No need for ptfe or silicon. Just replace the O rings and tighten as per the instructions. Btw don't tell me you PTFEd the threads on the filter housing.
