Facia board and decking

Hi all,

I'm going to put composite decking up again the house, 150mm below the dpc and 200mm away from any brick work. But I was wondering if I can deck up to the brickwork and leave a small gap. But also add a matching 200mm facia board to stop the poining being worn away with splash back. Or could I use a long planter to do the same job.

Or does anyone have a different way to get the boards up to the house.
