Hi there everyone,
can any one please answer a few questions i have.
1.i had a quote for a plumber to supply and fit a new cylinder and boiler for £3300+vat.
2.Can i change the heating and hot water system to have a combi.
3.it's all because i have a strange noise in the cylinder, it's like there's air bubbling inside but only when the hot water is on.

I called a plumber originally as part of home emerchancy policy to fix a banging noise.i thought he would say something is wrong so he would get some work from me.

I have seen a boiler in B&Q for £700 so where does he get £3300 from?

Cheers for any info you have.

get a couple more (itemised) quotes and compare

Cheers for that, i was thinking of waiting till the winter and till it fails as i'm getting married soon so not much spare money.
Cheers

best advice; to save money cancel wedding, replace boiler.

What sort of cylinder is it?, could quite conceivably cost 1000 quid on its own.
