This has been covered that often its getting boring now.

All it will do is start ian arguments between genuine installers and the clowns that think they know. (just be aware of poster calling himself bigburner)

Each installer has his/her preferred manufacturer.

Every job differs considerably. Some jobs can be done reasonably priced and others will cost more.
Just think how a Dr would respond to a person asking for advice over the web.

Your best approach is to get a couple of local installer to advice and price for the work.
At least they can actually see whats involved. ;)

Perhaps you should re-phrase your question, this time include some more info.

Make and model of old boiler.
Fuel type.
Make and model of your preferred new boiler.
Do your existing rads have TRV's fitted.

Nick.

OK here goes been qouted £1800 for the job above, new boiler is HALSTED EDEN SBX, 38 KW, 2 year warranty, or will fit VOEKERA if i want it instead

both are about same quality, not on a scale of 1 to 10.
search the forum, thousands of posts on the subject.
