Hi,

I have searched all over this site for some help and found most, thanks.

I am building a false 'dry wall' in between two chimney breasts to hide all my TV's and associated gubbings.

I am going to use 63x38 studwork timber fixed against the old wall, and fix 12mm platerboard to it, my question is, what length plasterboard fixing screws should I use (63+12)?

cheers,

Mark

PS - any tips for this project would be much appresiated.

The stud work should be fitted securely first.
So if you are using 12.5mm plasterboard and screwing directly in to stud work.
You will only need 32mm dry wall screws, to secure the plasterboards.

make sure to leave some ventilation or you'll boil your nice new plasma.
