I have just fitted a new fan oven motor to my hotpoint double oven, a BD31.

The new one was almost identical to the old except that it had a fan on both sides; on on the motor and the other inside the oven.

I purchased the new fan from partmaster where some fans motor descriptions mention that a particular fan needs a new layer of insulation.

The one I purchased did not mention insulation. So I am now a bit confused (mainly due to my age).

My question is this: My fan oven motor touches the inside panel directly, no insulation between the fan and the oven.

Do I need insulation with the new fan?

Thanks
