Fault Finding

[Rentaflat]

Have had a few faults with the electricity in the flat I rent. The landlord sent a relative around to do an inspection, which I think is called a periodic inspection.

Can anyone do one of these? I think the chap doing the inspection is an engineer, but not a domestic electrician.

The other question is, what as a minimum should a PI consist of and should I be allowed to see the report?

Yes, anybody can do a PIR unfortunately.

I *think* as it was the landlord who actually ordered the work it's up to him whether you see the report or not but there's no reason why he should withhold it from you.
