About 2 weeks ago, we found the toilet cistern was not filling properly after a flush, there was just a very slight trickle. However, when the cold tap (which is on the same pipe as the cistern) is turned on, the cistern fills properly. Over the last two weeks this has been good enough, but it's getting less reliable (ie several on/off are required to get it to fill) and is a bit awkward, especially if there are visitors.
The cistern is about 3 years old. It's built into a cupboard so I have to take it out before I can see the bits that may be faulty so I can't buy them in advance. I'm guessing it's the valve that's dodgy but before I take it out and find I can't get the bits to fix it until Monday, is there any suggestions what the fault may be?
