ooked t old double switch past occupent has wired in new mains switch box

also trying tio find a problem extactor fan and lights are on the same switch but also noticed a loop undone old cable re placed all back as found can get fan working every time but not the lights

I can't figure out what the first sentence means. There is an old double switch involved, and someone's probably fitted a new CU, but there's no hint as to what the problem might be.

The second run-on sentence is a bit easier, but doesn't give much info. It means that people have to guess or ask relevent questions to get the information required.

The issue is that everyone giving advice here is doing so in their own free time. If you want good advice, ask a clear question and give all the information that may be necessary.

Can you imagine approaching an electrician in your local pub and saying "ooked t old double switch past occupent has wired in new mains switch box"?

ooked t old double switch past occupent has wired in new mains switch box"?

yeh but that would be acceptable after a few pints in the local pub :)

so you have been in the pub 6 months?
