Without ever having tasted any of the mega-expensive whiskies, I'd say Lagavulin is the best I've had, although it is pricey, at £50-ish a bottle. Ardbeg is a good substitute, and slightly cheaper. Of the lower-priced ranges, Macallan is good.

Whiskies from Campbeltown are said to be amongst the greatest, but they are right expensive, so I've never tried them. I've been to Campbeltown though; a very sad and run-down place.

Bailey's is nice, in small doses only, not pints.

This was lovely, was a present from Father in Law.

Did google it a while back to buy another but can't justify £120+!. Did wonder why he told me not to neck it down!.

I thought you were a 'swan' man.

I have eaten just about everything else, but never swan. They do say it cooks very nicely.

I cannot understand why we stopped eating many of the things we used to. Actually I can, but the truth is often too painful to believe.
