Freezing this Christmas Second Favourite Christmas #1

Speaking as a pensioner, I am pleased to see that mine has gone up by £15 a week since last year and I've had my winter vaccinations.

A spare £10 rolled in as a Christmas bonus, which I spent on mince pies.

I just looked at my latest gas bill, and the price was 6.01p per kWh. Last year it was 6.65p

Electricity at 23.44p. Was 26.2p last year

So fuel more than 10% cheaper.

I have no need of a taxpayer handout.

Why is @aveatry getting so excited about an old song by Wham?

"Wham!’s Last Christmas is Christmas No 1 for second year running

Duo’s Andrew Ridgeley celebrates success of song that is ‘almost as much a part of Christmas as mince pies, turkey and pigs in blankets’

Mines been cheaper than that since last August. I thought you were savvy with money?

Well give the 10 quid back

Very noble of you

Obviously you would not want to be accused of getting yer snout in the trough :ROFLMAO:

I'm just hoping there's enough money left for me when I come to collect my pension.
For some reason, when I posted the Starmer video, the post got deleted.
There’s no pot of money for pensions.

Pensions are paid from tax revenue

Stupid way of doing things really

Havenojob will have to hope that people pay their taxes and NI.

The opposite of what the biker boy is hoping for.

No hoping needed. They've got enough coming in, what with this government lowering the threshold at which it starts for employees and upping the contribution from employers. Let’s just hope they don’t waste it on government employees that produce feck all and train drivers eh?

A complete list of the Tory MPs who voted against free school meals for hungry children over the holidays

Over 300 of them

Conservatives would drop triple lock

Mel Stride says triple lock is ‘unsustainable’ and cannot last forever

The triple lock is “unsustainable” and cannot last forever, Mel Stride has said.

The shadow chancellor refused to commit the Conservatives to the policy in the future, insisting the party would review all aspects of how pensioners can be helped.

Thankfully we have a Labour govt now.

Wow 1st government ever to be in that position

After just a few months too.

Looks like we will all be getting more and more services. Unless you've got your facts wrong ?

Tories increased civil service by 100,000 to deal with Brexit red tape.

By the way, train drivers aren’t govt employees they are paid by train operating companies.

The opposite of what the biker boy is hoping for.

If havenojob is unemployed, perhaps he is not contributing much tax and NI

But he seems to be hoping for a generous taxpayer handout.

Something wrong there.
