Has anybody heard of "Hennessy"
Laphroiag is wonderful, but cask strength is an acquired but addictive taste...
I bought a bottle as a Christmas present and it was about £80

Has anybody heard of "Hennessy". It's popular in American hip hop and rap circles
apparently
I think Laphroiag is about £70/£80 per bottle isn't it as I bought a bottle as a Christmas present for a conossoir a few Christmases ago

£30 to £11,000 a bottle.

I'd need to neck several of the £30 ones to buy a bottle of whisky at £11k !

Cripes!! So what would cost between £5k and £11k in terms of how old would it be? That's a lot of money! Imagine if you'd have bought that ages ago and it had matured in age and quality that would make it a good investment

You can easily Google what whisky costs what . . . & why, you don't need me.

What temperature would you recommend that I should roast my turkey at this christmas. And have you any suggestions for cold turkey meals in the following days.

I don't like Turkey & I have never liked Turkey on my plate. Not even for the main event that you folks call Christmas.

I much prefer a succulent Lamb.

I have absolutely no preference as to what temperature you should roast your Turkey. Try asking someone with similar a preferences to yourself, if you can find someone who gives a damn !

I thought you were a 'swan' man.

So there's quite a range of types and prices but the most notable thing I found of interest was The Macallan 1926 60-year-old single malt from cask number 263 had been expected to sell for up to £450,000, but went under the hammer for £1.45 million on Oct 24, 2019 - The most expensive bottle of whisky ever

How do you like your Lamb?

Baileys has got me through many a Christmas morning undoing hundreds of those bloody wire ties they love to clamp toys in with!.
