But which is the front of the wood. Its curved slightly.

If you install them heart side in, the bottom tends to curl out (cup).
Heart side out and it tends to crown (reverse cup).
Take your pick, either side can be the face.

Well i've learnt something new. Id prefer curling out but As its 7 inch i'll do it curling in incase its curls more in future.
