We have a lot of featherboard fence enclosing our garden. Some of it suffers with green algae where it doesn't get much direct light. None of it has ever been treated so it generally has a greyish appearance (when dry and not covered in algae). When bought new it was sold as the "brown" version rather than the "green". I'm guessing it was dipped in a preserver of some description. We have never been a fan of coloured fence paint so have just left it. We do however quite like the colour when it is wet and it kind of returns to the colour it was when it first went in. My question is, is there a product that treats fences like this that isn't coloured - essentially a clear fence treatment that would provide that darker but natural look of wood?

Thanks.
