Feed Return for removed Rads

I have just ripped out all me rads ready for replacing.
I have forgot to make a note of the feed and return.
Since I am fitting thermostatic values I think this is important.
Short of reconnecting rads, is there any way to determine what is the feed and what is the return?

well you could rip up a few boards and trace them through, but the easiest way is just to buy bi-directional trv's and stick them on which ever end is the most convenient to access.

I will go for Danfloss from the plumb centre - are these ok
they are supposed to stop water hammer as well

sound choice...is that the danfoss ras c2?...they are the ones I have used for the last few years with no problems.
