Hello, I have an existing 1 gang switch which controls the light in the entranceway, there are 2 neutrals which are connected together in the back box and the switch operates using the 2 live or brown cables, I want to fit a 2 gang switch to also control an outside light and understand I need to feed the 2nd gang from the permanent live from the original switch and also use one of the neutrals from the back box, so my question is what do i do with the other neutral once i have separated them and does it matter which one I use?, thanks.

You leave the two neutral connected to each other, and add a neutral connection from that, to your new light.

You will put the 3 neutrals all together.

Loop over from the permanent live, com to com then feed your new light from the new L1
