Hi, My pensioner neighbour has asked if we would like to replace the back fence that seperates our property with a new one, He has asked me to price up the materials and asked me to put it up as well. I have offered to put it up f.o.c and to go halves on the cost, I have priced everything up but i dont want to over purchase fence boards.
So with this in mind how many boards will i need if the total length of fence is 70ft, boards are 6ft high by 6" wide and we want a gap of around 3/4" between boards.
Im no mathematician but i have estimated around 150 boards ?
Any experts out there able to advise me as we dont want a surplus stockpile of unwanted boards and November 5th is way off.
