Had some windows and doors put into new extension, window fitter who works for builder says a fensa certificate is not needed as it is all under the building regs, is that correct? thought you had to have one?
Or they may have a little meter that tests the windows for the special film on the inside of the windows. But it has to be specified as part of the buiding control application, or at least agreed with the BCO, for him to do the test.
If the window or doors are part of an extension that building control are inspecting, then the window or door installation is deemed part of the inspection process.
