There are two ways to prove compliance:
1. a certificate showing that the work has been done by an installer who is registered under the FENSA Scheme
2. a certificate from the local authority saying that the installation has approval under the Building Regulations.

Yep you got it, your BCO may expect a spec sheet for the windows though which would need to come from the supplier.

Or they may have a little meter that tests the windows for the special film on the inside of the windows. But it has to be specified as part of the buiding control application, or at least agreed with the BCO, for him to do the test.
If the window or doors are part of an extension that building control are inspecting, then the window or door installation is deemed part of the inspection process.
