I'll be bricking up the garage door and having a upvc window installed. The bricklayer has offered to install the window

The work is being done under building regs, will this be acceptable to them? or does the window need to be installed by an accredited Fensa installer?

Fensa is only self certification for building regs.

So a job requiring regs wont need a separate fensa cert (fensa are not are mark of quality, as some people think).

Just a quick question for those in the know.
Someone recently mentioned that as a garage conversion is a change of use document Q security rating would apply.
Not something I have had a BO bring up but technically correct I suppose. What do you guys think?

AD Q only relates to new dwellings, including those dwellings formed via a change of use.
