Our combi about 10 years old has been makes a banging noise when starting up and cutting out. We have been told it is the gas pressure and we need to know the correct setting for the boiler from tech instructions. Can anyone help? What do you adjust? We are in a block of 3 flats - the other two do not have a problem.

Thanks Howard

Unlikely this is caused by an incorrect gassetting.
Somewhere on the boiler should be the g.c.number; usually looks like: xx-xxx-xx.
You may have to take the cover off to find it. If so, make sure you just take the cover off without opening the combustion chamber.
The g.c.number identifies the boiler and you can then contact the manufacturer for the details.

sounds to me like the pump and hydraulic block. had a few with the falcon and the modena models. the gas pressure is changed using the pentomimeters on the pcb and only have to be changed when swapping the board or gas valve so if you havent had either change then i doubt thats your problem.

Thanks for comments - the PCB bord was replaced last year, so that might have been the reason why it now bangs every time it shuts down. Will try another pluimber
