Hi guys, recently installed a intercom it was fine for the first few weeks then the entrance speaker went really quiet, the voice coming through is really faint and your ear needs to be next to the speaker to hear.

Any ideas what it could be, has the speaker gone or has water managed to get into the system? I should be under warranty but please let me know.

Thanks

Have you tried adjusting the volume ? Normally if the speaker has blown you don't get anything .

Didn't it come with instructions ? Inside the entry panel P1 and P2 ajust the internal and external volume settings !

If it was working fine for 2 weeks, then it doesn't requiring adjusting. Not sure where the problem is, but I suspect it's the speaker module that's failed, as they're more prone than the handset. See if you can find a temporary handset replacement to test the system.

I'd normally agree with you, but having seen it (or should I say heard it) It can happen. I think it's the circuitry in the speaker module that hiccups, rather than the speaker itself.

Worth testing the handset though - the microphone in the handset is more likely to lose sensitivity. Most other things will either work or fail.
