I have a very old system and for years have been putting Fernox Limescale preventer into the cold water tank (which feeds into a tank with an immersion heater). I put it in every 6 months and then renew it. I was advised many years ago by a plumber to do this.
Now, it seems that this Fernox product has been discontinued. Does any one know what I can use as an alternative?
