Hi I had to drain down the water in my central heating to replace a radiator. Now I need to refill with some inhibitor to protect the system.
On B&Q there was only on stock Ferxox mb-1 (4L) protector suitable for aluminium rad.

Is this an inhibitor?

I know sentimel X100 but It wasn’t on stock

How can I inject manually, without special tools like a pump or so.
Many thanks

With an open vent system, tie up ballcock in F+E tank, part drain system and introduce inhibitor/protector via empty F+E. Now release ballcock and refill and bleed system, circulator will do the rest.

With pressurised system, ie combi, Issolate a rad and drain, (large or double best.) retighten rad valves introduce inhibitor by removing bleed nipple plug, refit, open valves to rad, bleed air and top up system pressure via filling loop or tap.
