Having been told we don't need a power flush as all our rads get hot, I would still like to give the system a cleanse and descale since we have to drain down to replace the faulty motorised valve and also use a chemical to stop boiler noise and an inhibitor of course. Is there anything to choose between Fernox and Sentinel in terms of efficacy and ease of use? Am I right in thinking Fernox is more labour intensive?

I think the cap is slightly harder to unscrew on the Fernox bottle!

Should be no difference as they are both highly rated.

I've just bought Sentinel as it is on offer at Screwfix at the mo £11.69 ;)

Both equally as good Madam Patagonia, down to ££'s your willing to pay ;)

Ther is an air of truth in the tops Bahco

Don't you have to use a neutraliser with Fernox but Sentinel doesn't mention it on what I have read on internet. Does one have to drain and refill 3 times with Sentinel as one does with Fernox?
