Hi,
Changed my expansion vessel yesterday following some great advice in the forum. It worked like a dream afterwards but I had an issue whereby the automatic air vent cap was venting what can only be described as "Green Gunk". I first noticed it when taking off the bottom cover of the boiler and some dried green residue build up was visible. After venting each rad and then switching the CH on, the automatic vent was in operation. I wasn't sure how long to leave the cap open and then how tight I should screw it back down once venting had finished ? Any ideas ?
Also, can anyone advise on the best place to top up the inhibitor as I had to drain the system completely in order to change the vessel ?
Cheers.
