Ferroli Modena 80E Intermittent Hot Water and CH

We get intermittent hot water. It runs for about 1 minute hot, then the heater flame stops and we get cold water for few seconds, then hot water with the ignition going on and the flame too, then cold ...... and so on

I tried removing the boiler cover (page 27 figure 36) and when got continuous hot water (problem solved).

I don't think the temperature sensor is the problem. What else could it be ?

Unfortunately, keeping the cover open did not solve the problem. It still goes to standby for almost a minute before the flame goes on and the cycle is repeated (on then stops with standby then on then standby and so on...)


Could the temperature sensors be the problem ?? what else could it be ?

I think you need a RGI as this sounds like a combustion problem.
