BG eng changed pcb before xmas as DHW not heating when calling,
made no difference, although by fluke it started working, but failed day after,
noted when i moved the connecting cable to flow switch whilst calling for water that relay clicked in and DHW delivered, obv connection problem,
latest problem is that the CH is not getting above 40 degrees on the dial, turning the onboard stat to max makes no change, no room stat fitted, H&W turned to continuous so not the clock.
would the flow temp sensor limit the temp that the boiler raises to?

Any thoughts?

get fed up of the endless parts changing to diagnose, I reckon in the last 20 years of the boilers life the pcb has been changed at least 4 times as the bg crib sheet always ends there, never has solved the problem to this day, its always something else, oddly at the moment the boilers up to 60 so intermittent problem..

Change the sensors, both of them. Bloody awful boilers that's why parts are changed so often.

PCB often is the first suspected item that is replaced by bottle changers. A boiler works on sequential operation. If it has never been serviced as makers intended , then it will have defects that may not be in the book so a new PCB is thrown at it to try and fix the boiler. Have several clients with this boiler- regular service means they work like a charm

bg 3 star service package since new,
looking like connection issue with the flow meter as it is named on spares pages,
call for hw, nothing happens, gently move tails from said switch, boiler kicks in delivers hw
call for htg, temp only going to 40, gently move tails from said switch, boiler seems to rise above the 40 to desired temp,

Unless the guy/ gal is stripping the boiler, not just analysing the POC, your boiler is NOT being serviced

Flow meter operation is easily verified. Has nothing to do with CH reaching 40 degrees only
