I was working from home (no really) in my little office and one of those raspy flies started banging around the room and on the window - really irritating. So I had to give it a squish with whatever soft 'fly swatting tool' was to hand. In the office that was a windscreen protector which I had removed from the car and never rehomed. It was soft, hand shaped and fitted the bill.

I gave the fly a biq swipe, missed and shattered the double glazed unit! I had forgotten the windscreen protector had magnets in it! When demonstrating to the wife later I nearly smashed another one!

* Don't swat flies with windscreen protectors. It just ain't worth it.

(Got the fly, though, so all wasn't lost.)
