fiat part

any idea where i can get a part from for a 4 yr old fiat panda. the digital mile display has gone and saying random readings like 600 miles, 295 miles etc. it has 18k on the clock.

i have been told by fiat it is a whole console change and will be £30 plus vat for the part plus labour. So £450 all in i reckon.

any idea how i can do this cheaper ?

My view would be that a look on Ebay would be the answer. Many vehicles being broken for parts and, at the dealer cost which you have been quoted, the job could be done at a fraction of this seemingly exorbitant price.
