Fiesta 1.25 zetec misfiring / juddering on accelaration

Hi

I had a new exhaust system from cat replaced, everything OK with that.

After the new exhaust was fitted, on idle and on accelerating the engine hesitates / misfires and judders a long, worse when cold.

Problem was not there before.

Could this be the MAF?

It could be the MAF. However as it happened the same time the exhaust was replaced I would personally suspect the lambda sensor as it can cause the same fault. It screws into the exhaust and monitors the exhaust gas to help the ecu maintain the correct mixture.

Change the coil pack. Get the genuine Ford one, approx £45. Prob will go away.

Very commn on the 1.25 zetec model, and surprised it hasnt gone before now with that mileage.

I wonder if there is any make which doesnt have an issue with coil packs (of the ones which use them of course).
My mothers Renault has had one go and my Audi recently had all four changed.
