Hi I've had issues finding a leak in a 2011 Ford Fiesta. It's the rear passenger side. Today I've taken the door card off expecting to find a plastic vapour barrier/membrane but all there is a black plastic panel with a sticky seal under the outer edge as shown in the photo. Is this normal? It doesn't seem to be leaking from here anyway as I had the hose on the window at the same time to see if I could see any water ingress.

Is there a wheel well - check that for wet. The water could be getting in from various sources, even the boot, and running forward under the carpet. Check under the rear seat, check any trim on the body.
Plastic liner is normal in modern cars, check the window seals although there doesnt appear to be any water tracking marks on your door. Door seals can be mis shaped, missing , loose. Check under carpet for drain plugs and the locations suggested by Harry above.
