I was getting a bit low on filler after sorting various drill holes etc on a room in our house, I mixed one last lot to finish off the box, I knoew that I would be risking how thin it might be, but then after I had added the water....

...it was like Calamine Lotion!!

I really, REALLY needed to fill that last hole or two, and didnt want the hassle of a 5 mile round trip to the local diy shop... so knowing that one time my missus added cornflour to a recipe to 'make it thicker' I did just that.........

AND IT WORKED!!! nice filler, good consistancy, it filled, fantastic!!

:D

iwonder if there will be a problem because its a food stuff!!!!!

i am assuming it will be ok because most decent filler have antifungal
and of course flour and water used to be used for sticking up walpaper

so let us know if you get any mould :P

hadnt thought of that!! its been sanded ok, was hard like normal filler, and its been sealed, then had lining paper put over it today. All seems fine!!
