Hi, all, got a couple of areas where Hardiebacker cracker off (my fault I know). But wondered if it's best to:

A) use their scrim tape, and fill it it deeper when I go to to do the joints with tile adhesive

B) find small bits of board and patch fix it with adhesive/filler

C) just use toupret filler

I think A; you're tiling them anyway, and it's the tiles and grout that provide the waterproof layer, not the backer boards. Them being cementitious just means that unlike plasterboard they don't go soggy, drop to bits and ruin your tiling if the grouting fails and water gets past unnoticed for a while
