Hello,
Can anyone advise me on what filler or other material/s I should use to fill the 2 to 5mm wide gap running the length between the brick and wood as seen in my image below? The gap depth is approx. 76mm (3”). Any help much appreciated.

I'm not really sure what you're worried about?
You could just leave it, or add mastic

Why is the wood there?

Thanks for your reply. The wood replaces rotted piece from current framed wooden trellising structure built above and to the side, which also doubles up as the opening to the back garden from the end of the driveway. Hope that makes sense. Also, hoping to resurface driveway in future (wife’s not holding her breath on that job though). Thanks for mastic recommendation. Any particular brand/type? Or doesn’t make any difference? Sorry I’m (obviously) a DIY novice. I’m blaming Covid for this. P.
