I am renovating a 1930's house which has had movement. It is historic and the whole left side of the house has settled and pulled away from the rest of the house by 40mm at the max point.
I have two internal breeze block walls which dissect into this wall and were tied to the main wall with nails hammered into the main wall and left to stick out.
I have stripped back the worst are in the rear bedroom and have applied some straps. You can see the gap between the two walls in the photo and my question is what do i fill the gap with.
I was planning on using bonding and then skimming over both sides. Is there a special way of filling cracks like this ? Should i be using sand and cement as the base coat instead ? Would i use a glue at all ?
Ta for any help.
