Filling bathroom ceiling after refurb

We've just had our bathroom redone and where we removed the old tiles some of the plastered ceiling came off and also where some new lights were put in.

Also have have a 15mm gap where the curved ceiling meets some trim as we didn't want to put a thin piece of tile here.

Just wondering what is best to use to fill this in for painting after? Just a normal filler like Polyfilla?

If the tiles had been set out correctly then you could have had a bigger cut up to the ceiling. That gap now needs plenty of filler. Build it up with a decent powder filler in stages
