Filling Ceiling Cracks?

Hi all

Not looking to plaster this year but could anyone recommend the best way to fill cracks like these prior to painting? Not ideal but will do in the short term.

Rule out the crack isn't anything nefarious.

Then stabilise the crack so it doesn't reoccur, then you can fill and paint.

The bloke in the video knows his stuff, yet there is always the fear that you could do all long-winded top notch filling, and it STILL cracks, so be aware before you start raking out the cracks and have a major filling task IF this is only a quick repair job before you get round to your re-plastering project.

Would tape and skim on the joints be your best bet?.

From experience of these, I've found that even when taking out and filling the cracks still appear albeit only as very fine cracks.

I'd advise getting a really thin crack repair tape and then filling over that and feathering it out so it cannot be noticed,
