filling gaps in chipboard flooring

i have some flooring chipboard 22mm thick 2400x600 - which is fine - BUT where I intend to join with another piece along the edge - i may have a slight gap , not a problem really as it will be covered by base units and away from view
the chipboard is 2400 x 600 and the room is 2630 - so will have a small gap of 230 to fill - allowing a 10mm gap for expansion

i have cut off the join on the 600mm end and my plan was to fill that with a spare 2400x600 sheet - cut up - but long ways - so i will have a piece 2400x220 to run down the side of flooring and wall

now the edge is not going to be perfect - so i may have a small gap - which i could fill , as thats where the vinyl will be

the walls are being plaster board and skimmed so 9mm ish -

I have been using CT1 for years now - first started to use on cast iron gutters in 1997 - and used for lots of jobs over the years
THEN along came BT1 for bathrooms and used that and excellent as well

NOW searching for an answer here - i come across FC1 - form same people - Filler and chalk (upto 25mm gaps ) - seems this will be my answer

expensive - BUT i have always found CT1 does the job even in WET gutters

Use D4 glue , it expands into gaps.

i'll have to think how that would work in my application
i was not plannign to glue - i'll ask that as a separate question

i only had D4 - and its OFF anyway
so I have ordered some D4-PU everbuild Polyurethane Wood Glue from toolstation - just going off to get when open @7am - thanks
and some FC1 - for around the doors

wow - that stuff works well, got 4 sheets down so far - and gaps filled with the foaming glue - and just wiping off excess with a rag

floor absoultly solid and no noise at all so far
just 6 sheets plus infill to go

Spraying with water first helps. I helps to accelerate the PU glue curing process. I would be tempted to let the glue expand and then sand or scrape away the excess. Glad it has worked for you.

thanks - too late now 6 down and just about to move the fridge freezer onto it in 30mins or so and then done for the day
another 4 to lay tomorrow - i needs a lot of scribing - but these are all good and straight in - then the gap to fill all along the edge

Fair play.

The gap along the edge- If you are using pu foam, spray the plaster and flooring with water, it will aid curing AND the adhesion.
