Hi,

I have finally finished my solid oak floor. I laid it in a floating method and am very pleased with the final result. I have a couple of gaps between boards and was wondering if anyone could recommend a product for filling them. I bought a flexible sealant the other day but I think this may not be suitable as it says its for laminate. The floor is finished with a laquer.

Thanks

Gaps could have appeared by various reasons: angles of the boards not square, glue drying without the T&G fitting tight together etc.
Your floor is prefinsihed with lacquer, can't recommend normally wood-filler you mix with sand dust.
Try mastic in appropriate colour - or wait a few weeks to see if the floor expands - while the air-humidity is getting higher - and the gaps close in a normal way.
