Hi all,

I have a 50mm hole going from the living room through to the external wall and outside, this is where cables ran.

It is dot and dab, breeze block insulation then brick.. what is the best way to fill the hole internally and externally ? Also do I need to add more insulation ?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

Personally I would fill the hole with expanding foam.
Then make good outside using mortar and inside using filler.
You can get ready mix repair mortar in a cartridge for use with a gun - like silicone sealant.

I recently had to fill a hole used by my old toilet overflow.
All new toilets overflow into the pan, so I had a hole right through the wall.
Used expanding foam to fill all the way through and then repair mortar outside. Inside the hole was covered by the new tiles.
Sorted.

Cheers
