My parents are having a new boiler fitted which involved removing an old back boiler which presented us with a bit of an issue.
The old boiler was sat on bricks (don't ask) and their was no hearth so we need to concrete this in to make a level.
The void under the boiler is about 6 inches... in front where the pipes come in is about 4 inches.
What sort of mix would you suggest? I was gong to put down aggregate first then the concrete on top to smooth it out. this sound right?
