Just boarded up the bathroom today - got a few small gaps where the wall boards meet at an iternal join and also where one of the wall boards meet the (sloping) celing boards

Got the plumber coming round first thing Tuesday so need to tank round where the shower area is going to be before he gets here

Got a BAL WP1 tanking kit yesterday

Do I need to patch up the gaps and 'tape' them up beforehand? And if so - what materials do I need to get my hands on before I let myself loose with the tanking kit?

I normally fill any areas with tile adhesive and let it dry, you could scrim over it but I don't bother, the thick tanking spread will cover over this area.

Cheers for that - ended up filling the gaps with dry-wall adhesive I had spare from putting other boards up.

Left it to dry out - have just finished the tanking now - should have worn a pair of gloves
