Filling over scrim tape

Hi all, I'm a complete DIY novice so need to ask some (probably stupid) questions. I have recently had my loft boarded with the roof insulated and plaster boarded. I'm hoping to not to have to have it skimmed as yet so have put scrim tape over the plaster board joins. My question is is it essential to then put filler over the scrim tape or could I use something like Polycell crack free ceilings or basecoat over the tape? I'm not too bothered about the finish as I'm only going to use the loft for storage for now. I'm basically trying to save time as filling over all of the joins and then sanding looks like it will take a long time. Thanks.

Ideally it would be best to at least fill over the joints.

Easifill 60 10kg bag is around £18, so will be susbtaintly cheaper than a polycell premade.

If you don't fancy mixing then the sheds will likely do a premade joint compound for a bit extra - not a fan but for a small job saves you buying a bucket and a mixer attachment.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to advise me. I took your advice and used Easyfill and so far so good. Thanks again
