Hiya i just need to fill in an 1 inch channel approx 8 inches long.

I plan to paper the wall rather then paint, how can i prep the walls for plaster.

I think i will be using the ready mixed tub of plaster for this job.

Should i just be wetting the wall or using a pva/water mix?

Any help appreciated.

Thankyou

I wouldn't use a ready mix plaster for this.It would probably be quicker and easier to buy a 1kg packet of Polyfilla interior filler, that'll be plenty for what you need it for. It sets in around an hour. Just give the small patch a brush down, and wet it with a paintbrush. You can use a little pva if you like, especially around the edges.. Just mix up your filler, enough to three quarters fill it, and leave it to set up a bit, then mix a little more to neatly flush it off, and smooth it over when it has set.. Give it a little sand down when dry if you need too, and thats it....

Roughcaster.
