Finally, a grown-up government.

Perhaps it was a Jewish golf club.
I have played at one of those. Jewish golfers were rejected membership at some snotty golf clubs, so they designed and built their own golf course. Fair play, I said. I can't remember where it was but I do remember looking on the glory wall and wondering why all the surnames were traditional Jewish surnames.

Jeez us you play golf

Bet the best two balls you ever hit was when you trod on a rake

Your choice was leave or remain.

My point was, as is obvious, since I said it, that the Brexers were unable to agree what leaving would entail.

Since they wanted different and contradictory things.

Therefore Brexers are doomed to disappointment because they might have thought they knew what they would get. And not got it.

Not even the lie painted on the side of a bus.

I didn't know there was such a thing although a Jewish customer once took me for a game somewhere in North London, nice course, stunning views across central London, Post Office Tower etc. As a kid I used to walk to Stoke Poges golf club and do a bit of 'caddying', that's the course where they filmed some scenes from Goldfinger. I charged 50p for 18 holes but got some tips and maybe a cup of tea and a kit kat afterwards, I think the 'gentry' enjoyed having a rough kid from a council estate as a caddy, I quite enjoyed their company as well.
Golf can be quite a leveller between classes.

Not sure what the lie was, leave the EU and we can spend an extra 350 million a week on the NHS?. Last time I looked, and that was a couple of years ago, we were spending an extra 450 million a week on the NHS (source was NHS England), so, what lie do you think occurred?

The cost of a100,000 more civil servants, cost of all the additional customs infrastructure, the Brexit divorce bill, the loss of tax revenue due to damage to economy.

And then there’s the £20b a year brexit red tape

That £450million a week def didn’t come from the EU membership fee no longer being paid

On a micro example, like no longer paying for an annual Go Outdoors member discount card.

You are not £6 a year better off unless you stop paying a lot more for the stuff you still want and buy.

Like remain. Nobody could say what the EU would become, what direction it would go. All the members want different things.
