I have used radiator backing to semi-insulate the side walls to a DG window as they are open cavity construction. I have not taken the backing around the corner onto the wall proper so I need to 'stick' something on the corner to protect the soft edge of the backing. I intend to emulsion the silver surface (done it before) so as to look good. I was wondering is that plasterboard tape with the metal strips would do, does it self-adhere? OR i could maybe used that aluminium tape 50mm wide but I think that is a bit thin for a robust finish. I see the scrim tape is a meshy fabric and would show under emulsion. Thanks.

The insulation value of that material relies on it having a shiny surface. If you lose the shiny surface, you may as well use insulated wallpaper, i.e. with a paper surface. (Neither has very much insulation value, though.)

No, it’s not self-adhesive.

Lining paper and wallpaper paste?

OK, I'll give up and leave as is to avoid introducing problems.
