Finishing up MDF project...need help

I have a computer desk that opens like an armoire that I practically tried to give away at a garage sale with no takers. With little else to do with a perfectly good desk, I decided to redo it and make a storage cupboard out of it. It's made out of MDF and was already painted and finished when I bought it. I put MDF primer on it and then painted it a beautiful green color and will be putting designs on the front. The paint has dried but when my daughter put her damp hands on it, she left behind prints. With two small children, it will need a wipe down from time to time. Is there something I can use to seal it so that I won't ruin the paint job? Thanks.
