On the news today will be joining nato in the coming weeks as one Finnish politician said

“it’s a certainty and the train has already left the station”

prior to this Ukraine invasion the Russian said that there would be military consequences if Finland join nato

there recent / latest statement has been some what toned down

Finnish bloke in the radio pretty much said the Russians can lump it or like

plus the number of military reservists that the fins can call upon if push comes to shove in order to bolster there standing army is massive

they have recently taken delivery of over 40 fighter jets from the USA

You can’t invade one neighbour and threaten others without them taking some form of action.

The whole purpose of NATO is to defend the borders of its members.
NATO has no interest in crossing Russian borders.
Putin is spouting off about a threat that does not exist.

Swedes are due to sign up as well

mind you they can fill the void left by France ( if Le Penn wins) ?

A reds team fan walks into a blue teams pub, the biggest & baddest blue team fan walks up to him & says "you can come in here, but don't ever come in wearing your red team shirt".

Next week, the red team fan walks into the pub wearing his red team shirt.

Except that he's in the red pub.

No comrade JohnD'ski, I'm pretty sure it was the blue teams pub. The blue team is a very big club with lots n lots of fans, the red team not so many.

Meanwhile, a small man wearing no shirt lies in a pool of blood in the gutter outside, where Putin beat him up.

If you want to walk into the blue teams pub wearing your red shirt, then you really should be prepared to accept the consequences !

Starting a war and invading a neighbour is not the same as walking into a pub.

Why then, before the blue shirts storm the red shirts pub, do they shout out "let's invade the neighbours & start a war"?

It's an analogy JohnD'ski, a simplified form of a complex situation to help you understand without the need for pikturez . . . .
